Here we have a very nicely constructed LNER B1, to the well proven Martin Evans' 'Springbok' design.
Finished nicely, and unusually in lined out NE Black livery, the locomotive is a new build, having been virtually completed a few years ago but sadly ending up languishing in the builders garage as ill health set in. The model was then taken on recently by a well known and prolific builder, (also the creator of the 7 1/4" 14xx we had in last year, so the model has a good pedigree).
Following it's recent completion, it has been test run on only a few occasions to test that everything is working as it should be. All the usual bits and bobs are there, twin injectors, tender hand pump, footplate operated drain cocks and a steam brake. Fully tested, certificated (of course) and ready to play.
